Referata is a free community-powered hosting-wiki database using MediaWiki as the main database software. The special feature of Referata is the use of the biggest MediaWiki-extension: Semantic MediaWiki and some of its Semantic extensions:

• Semantic Forms
• Semantic Drilldown
• Semantic Result Formats
• Semantic Maps
• Data Transfer

These work in addition to other extensions that support the running of useful structured wikis:

• Widgets
• Header Tabs
• Replace Text.

The founder of Referata is Yaron Koren, who is one of many MediaWiki -developers and also is a developer of Semantic MediaWiki.
