Hi. I want to delete spam that is older than "Recent Changes". I found a discussion about how to do this using the Nuke extension but it requires editing LocalSettings[1]. I haven't edited my wiki since July 2012. Is there any other way to see changes to the wiki that were made a year ago? Lumenos1 (talk) 00:20, January 12, 2013 (UTC)

Hi, the Nuke extension is very... let's say: primitive. You cannot revert edits either, so it is very useless in case of a larger ammount of spam. The DeleteBatch extension might do a job here, but be careful with the namespaces (a.f.a.i.k. you can only use it for content pages). --Dennis (Administrator) 15:49, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
When I go to RecentChanges now I can click the url and change the number of days to 100 and it shows me back to Oct 4th 2012. I can change the the number of days to 10,000 but it doesn't show me more than about 100 days back. Is there any way to see what was added before 100 days ago? Lumenos1 (talk) 19:58, January 12, 2013 (UTC)
Hi, as far as I know, the max. amount of days you can display is set to 3000. try this, it worked on my sites some weeks ago... --Dennis (Administrator) 15:01, January 13, 2013 (UTC)
Here is my wiki set to 3000 changes in 3000 days.[2] As you can see the latest date it shows is Oct 4th 2012. Here is the history of the main page showing that it was edited in April 12th of 2012 [3] That is about 9 months ago. 3000 days would be about 10 months ago. Lumenos1 (talk) 22:30, January 13, 2013 (UTC)
Hi, sorry, but I actually do not know where this comes from. But as I see, the last-created user before the 4th of August (which is the earliest date in RecentChanges) was created in march 2012 (which was a long time before that (see here). I recommend you to think whether you havn't fought spam for so long, because it seems to to be no spam-user-page in the list of user pages (see here). Cheers; --Dennis (Administrator) 15:21, January 14, 2013 (UTC)
I made a mistake. 3000 days would be 100 months ago not 10. 100 months divided by 12 is over 8 years. RecentChanges is definitely not showing 8 years ago.
The Men of War wiki goes back to Oct 7th just like my wiki [4] so I don't know why you thought the max was 3000 days. Looks like the max is closer to 100 days.
Maybe this is a limitation for privacy or to keep the page from being too long (and crashing)? I would like the max to be increased to maybe 730 days (2 years) but it requires editing LocalSettings and I don't know if the other wikis prefer it to be limited to 100 days. Here are the instructions to change it if you or Yaron think we should do it. [5] Lumenos1 (talk) 05:11, January 15, 2013 (UTC)

• How can I upload youtube video in my wiki?--Msnhinet8 (talk) 05:41, February 28, 2013 (UTC)
You can't upload YouTube videos, but you can display them using the Widgets extension. Yaron Koren (talk) 16:58, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

## Photo

• I can't upload photo in my wiki,How can I do?--Msnhinet8 (talk) 05:52, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
What did you try, and was there an error message? Yaron Koren (talk) 16:15, March 3, 2013 (UTC)
• Yes,it view this:<You cannot upload this file, because you are currently using 101.09375 MB of file space, and uploading it would exceed the allowed quota for your site (100 MB). Sorry for the inconvenience.>--Msnhinet8 (talk) 01:46, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
This is normal, as you can only have 100MB of image storage in the basic free configuration. If you want more, you'll have to pay extra fees, see here for more details. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 10:45, March 4, 2013 (UTC)
Or for what it's worth, you can save yourself some hassle--and money--by using media from the Wikimedia Commons. (It says so on the front page of Referata's Scratchpad; my Dixwell Dossier takes advantage of this.) --Routhwick (talk) 11:36, April 24, 2013 (EDT)

## Wiki farm

Just how did you create such a sucessfull wiki farm?--Kaiser1999 (talk) 22:38, April 7, 2013 (EDT)

It depends on what you mean by "successful". :) But if you offer free wiki hosting, you'll eventually get some substantial usage. Yaron Koren (talk) 12:11, April 8, 2013 (EDT)
Ah, also can you allow unlimited everything for free? I cannot afford any of the things due to me being a teen.--Kaiser1999 (talk) 19:27, April 11, 2013 (EDT)
I can't do that - the site needs to support itself financially. But if you want to discuss a reduced payment, you can write me at yaron -at- referata.com. Yaron Koren (talk) 09:16, April 12, 2013 (EDT)
Ok.--Kaiser1999 (talk) 19:48, April 15, 2013 (EDT)

## Stats extensions

Alexandre (talk) 04:30, May 9, 2013 (EDT)

Do all of these work with the latest version of MediaWiki? They all look like they haven't been updated in a while. Yaron Koren (talk) 18:51, May 15, 2013 (EDT)

## Custom namespaces

Do you create namespaces for users of free accounts in their wikis?

Alexandre (talk) 13:20, May 9, 2013 (EDT)

Sorry for the delay. No, that's not available for either free or premium accounts. Yaron Koren (talk) 18:48, May 15, 2013 (EDT)

## pay

• Hi,how can I pay for you?--Msnhinet8 (talk) 02:30, May 26, 2013 (EDT)
Go to "Site settings", then the "Service level" tab, and follow the instructions. Yaron Koren (talk) 18:55, May 28, 2013 (EDT)

## I'm Confused

I have pretty much been having a big move around on tennis-info which has meant the deletion and continued deletion of many pages, and my page count should be decreasing, I thought this might be due to some sort of lag in the server as to why it wasn't updating until I created a page this morning and it actually went up, obviously you can see the confusion since I've deleted more pages in the last week than I have created. I can only imagine there is some kind of error. Afro (talk) 04:24, May 27, 2013 (EDT)

I don't know - the numbers in Special:Statistics are sometimes inexact. Are you talking about "Content pages", "Pages" or both? Yaron Koren (talk) 09:50, May 28, 2013 (EDT)
I'm referring to the 'Content pages', and this is the only time I've observed it with an inaccurate number. Afro (talk) 14:11, May 28, 2013 (EDT)
Well, Special:Statistics uses a somewhat strange system for determining what counts as a "content page" - my guess is that none of the deleted pages counted, to it. Yaron Koren (talk) 18:54, May 28, 2013 (EDT)
I just recreated a page I previously deleted and then deleted it again, the content page count went up but it didn't go down when I deleted it. Afro (talk) 05:18, May 29, 2013 (EDT)
Oh - in that case, I don't know. Yaron Koren (talk) 17:39, May 29, 2013 (EDT)

## Proposal

Hello, I am a user of Referata and I would like to announce that there should be a new payment method that allows like a pro and pro plus deal that MANY can afford!!!!

. Free Pro Pro-plus
Cost Free $4 a month$50 a month
Wiki pages Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited
File storage 100 MB 50 GB 100 GB
Site privacy Public Public or Private
URL sitename.referata.com sitename.referata.com
or any domain name
sitename.referata.com
or any domain name

Is that a good proposal??? It will work for many users!--VarickI (talk) 23:08, June 6, 2013 (EDT)

Sorry, we can not use that proposal, as Referata would go bankrupt. Yaron Koren (talk) 05:06, December 21, 2018 (UTC)

## Database error during site creation

Thank you!

--Hay.democratic.network (talk) 14:47, June 22, 2013 (EDT)

Same with me, and also a different one on the german server. tried gutestunden and gutestunden1 as site names, but the messages suggest that the tables got created only partial, and using the urls give 404. regards holger.wessels

Hi - sorry about that; I was making some changes to the code, and it caused that SQL problem. I believe it's fixed now. Let me know if you need me to delete any sites. Yaron Koren (talk) 00:15, June 23, 2013 (EDT)
Thanks, it's ok now, i can create sites, but those that i have already tried to create doesn't work, and the names that i reserved ar impossible to use. Can you delete theml plese?--Hay.democratic.network (talk) 03:43, June 23, 2013 (EDT)
Sure - what are their names? Yaron Koren (talk) 20:12, June 23, 2013 (EDT)
It's ok now, i created a new one!

## How to make opening the external links in new tabs?

Hi,

Is there any possibility to open the external links in new tabs? Thanks --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 05:25, June 23, 2013 (EDT)

It could be that the only way to do it with a widget, i.e. using the Widgets extension. Yaron Koren (talk) 20:12, June 23, 2013 (EDT)
Thanks, do I need to modify LocalSettings.php for instance i need it to add FB comments), and how can i access this file, please?
You can't access or modify LocalSettings.php (there's only one for all of Referata), but fortunately, you don't need one to create a widget. Yaron Koren (talk) 09:22, June 24, 2013 (EDT)

## How to create a default page?

Hi, I'd like to know if it's possible to have a default page format. I mean that when somebody create a new page , it's already formated with some kind of tables, texts, etc. Thanks --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 06:29, June 23, 2013 (EDT)

You can do that sort of thing with the Semantic Forms extension. Yaron Koren (talk) 20:15, June 23, 2013 (EDT)

## Can you see my questions?

Can you see my questions at http://www.referata.com/wiki/Referata_talk:FAQ PLEASE?

Yes - sorry for the delay. Yaron Koren (talk) 17:12, August 8, 2013 (EDT)

## File storage

Hello, I am considering coming back to Referata. But I still do have a problem with something. That problem is file storage, I am a teen and I have no money to afford 1 GB of file storage.--VarickI (talk) 17:38, August 18, 2013 (EDT)

Either you'll have to pay up for the extra storage (see Referata:Features), or you'll have to resort to using images from the Wikimedia Commons (which every Referata domain can access). --Routhwick (talk) 01:17, September 29, 2013 (EDT)
Even if you use Commons, thumbnails will decrease your free amount of 100MB storage. And it is worse when you use several sizes to display the same picture. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 09:45, October 11, 2013 (EDT)

Hi Yaron, there is like a problem with google analytics, i added the UA-xxxx- in the settings but it doesn't work since 2 month. I have more than 1000 visitors in my wiki but 0 in google analytics statistics. Help! --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 15:00, August 19, 2013 (EDT)

I'm very sorry about that! I rewrote a lot of the code that Referata runs on at around that time, and it evidently led to the Google Analytics script no longer being added to pages. I believe I've now fixed it. I should have tested it before... my apologies. Yaron Koren (talk) 23:01, August 19, 2013 (EDT)
Hello, i found the problem. The solution is to add UA-xxxxxxxx only without the last -1 at the end, it's added automatically, so if the UA number doesn't finish by -1 it'll be impossible. Anyway it works now, Thank you very much. --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 05:18, August 20, 2013 (EDT)

## Why mediawiki graph format doesn't work

Hello Yaron, Can you help me please to understand why istead of graphs i have tables? I use exactly the format described here: http://www.semantic-mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Graph_format Is this future enables? in localsettings.php? Thanks --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 05:50, August 27, 2013 (EDT)

## Mobile version

Sorry if I've asked this question before, but is there any way I can get my Referata site to run in mobile format--without a MediaWiki extension? I still can't do this myself, and what I've implemented to date turns into a redirect loop on my iPod Touch. I wonder what priorities you've got regarding this yet? --Routhwick (talk) 06:33, August 29, 2013 (EDT)

Thanks to avast! Antivirus, I've just noticed some sort of redirect hack in the past few days that's affecting URLs on the Referata network. Hours ago, avast! caught links from bobbolicious.be, which I definitely won't link to, and classified them as malware. This happened whenever I loaded something from a Referata domain for the first time today.

So for now, you'll have to access Referata--with an antivirus system already running--until the staff can sort this situation out. --Routhwick (talk) 23:30, September 9, 2013 (EDT)

Hi - yes, there was an attack on Referata that added malicious Javascript to some of the MediaWiki code files, that caused users to be redirected to adult sites in some cases. I undid the changes - the issue was actually resolved right around the time you posted this message, actually - and changed the permissions on the MediaWiki files, so it hopefully won't happen again. Sorry about the problems. Yaron Koren (talk) 22:26, September 11, 2013 (EDT)

## Deletion

• Hi, can you delete my wikis please. I don´t need them any more. --Omnidedia (talk) 09:29, September 26, 2013 (EDT)
You can do that yourself. Just go to Special:SiteSettings on your wiki(s), look up "Deletion" and press "Delete site". Deletion will occur in the next few days unless you decide to cancel. --Routhwick (talk) 22:35, September 26, 2013 (EDT)
I´ve done it, but nothing happens --Omnidedia (talk) 10:40, September 30, 2013 (EDT)
All right, I'm back. (Too bad about the recent spam wave, which I've been endlessly fighting; how about we install CheckUser here and finish with it?) Anyway, what's the latest on your sites' progress? Either that, or we can give it a few more days and have Mr. Koren check. --Routhwick (talk) 23:56, October 23, 2013 (EDT)

## 'Math' extension seems to not be properly installed

Hi, the 'Extensions' page in my wiki states that the 'math' extension is available, but when I try to use it the following error appears on the page:

Failed to parse (Missing texvc executable; please see math/README to configure.)

It seems that a program necessary for 'math' to work has not been installed on the server?

For example, the following should display a pretty version of Einstein's famous equation:

$E = mc^2$

—Preceding unsigned comment added by ‎Eeeickythump (talkcontribs) on October 26, 2013 @ 2:51 a.m. EDT.

My own wiki has this exact same problem—enough for me to take note of it here and here. Although Math is working fine on another Referata wiki.

I'm a bit surprised it's happening here on Referata Central as well, as the above example proves. I'll try to ping Mr. Koren over e-mail on this. (Remember: he's in charge of the extension installation, and I'm only an admin doing my job. Too bad there's no easy way to access LocalSettings.php, is there?) --Routhwick (talk) 13:47, October 26, 2013 (EDT)

...I know I need to fix the Math thing, though it might be tricky - the issue is that the texvc library isn't working on the Referata server, which means that images can't be generated. I spent a fair amount of time trying to fix this a while ago (a few years ago, I think), but I need to look into it again.
And no, I can't deal with LocalSettings.php at all. Because, as Koren says, "there's just one for the entire wiki farm."
That said, you're in for a good wait. Thanks for expressing your concern, and our apologies. (Then again, we're more understaffed than Wikimedia!) --Routhwick (talk) 17:04, November 7, 2013 (EST)

## create a wiki

Sorry about the delay. Are you still having problems with this? It loads fine for me. Yaron Koren (talk) 23:43, March 19, 2014 (EDT)

## Deletion.

[6] [7] [8] Can you delete these, they've been sitting there a while awaiting deletion, thx. Afro (talk) 20:46, March 19, 2014 (EDT)

Sorry about the long delay - these have all now been deleted. Yaron Koren (talk) 23:41, March 19, 2014 (EDT)

## Free wiki

Hello, I'd like to know when will you allow free wiki hosting with all features. --VarickI (talk) 10:26, April 12, 2014 (EDT)

I don't know. Yaron Koren (talk) 17:41, April 24, 2014 (EDT)
I hope so soon, you could just mainly do donations on a message thingy to make this wiki hosting free. Because not many are going to pay for some overpriced things unless they have a lot of money.--VarickI (talk) 10:11, June 9, 2014 (EDT)

## Updating SMW to the last 1.9.2 version

Hi Yaron,
Do you plan to update both Semantic MediaWiki (up to 1.9.2) and MediaWiki (up to 1.23) on Referata? Thank you for your answer. Cheers! --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 05:57, June 18, 2014 (EDT)

Hi Yaron, please don't update. The new update makes everything look too big and ugly, the typography scripts which stop it don't do that good as well. Along with the fact buttons are big and blue as if the wiki is a search engine. Please don't. I have left several wiki farms due to this and I have no money to buy hosting. --VarickI (talk) 10:18, June 18, 2014 (EDT)
I do plan to update - the MediaWiki update will probably be more straightforward than the SMW one, but I plan to do both. VarickI - big and blue buttons? I don't know what you mean by that. Are you thinking of the mobile interface? Yaron Koren (talk) 18:13, June 20, 2014 (EDT)
I mean it also for the desktop websites. It shows up on many updated mediawiki sites on PC. Is there a way you can put mine on a different databse so I can keep this version? I sincerely despise the new update. The collapsible sidebars, the larger text, the times new roman font, everything MediaWiki does now is just horrible. If I cant keep trying to find one that will stay this version, I might need to get hostgator which I cannot even afford.--VarickI (talk) 20:05, June 21, 2014 (EDT)
This is just comestics and appearance, everything (font and size) can be changed in the configuration. Don't forget that firstly, the MediaWiki software is developped for all the Wikimedia Foundation applications. All other organizations (like Referata) use it under the Creative Commons License and, thanks to this license, can modify it and adapt is to fit their needs. All the source code is available for everybody. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 12:17, June 22, 2014 (EDT)
Well if configruable, please then show me the stuff where I can still keep this sidebar and have the font like this.
Put this on your MediaWiki:Common.css page and you should retreive what you expect:
div#content h1, h2 {
font-family:sans-serif !important;
}

#bodyContent, .mw-body-content {
font-family: sans-serif !important;
font-size: 0.8em;
line-height: 1.4em;
}

font-size: 1.6em !important;
}
If not, just change the values. The new 1.23 font size is 0.875em and the line height is 1.6em. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 03:12, June 23, 2014 (EDT)
And the collapsable sidebar???--VarickI (talk) 11:08, June 23, 2014 (EDT)
That's more complicated, it's in javascript. It seems when you see the updates that they will correct it in the next releases. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 16:21, June 23, 2014 (EDT)
Exactly! This mediawiki version is better than whatever the heck they have done now a days.--VarickI (talk) 21:40, June 24, 2014 (EDT)
Though it may be costly, I believe those who wish to stick with this version should have their own databases different from this single one.--VarickI (talk) 21:41, June 24, 2014 (EDT)
Is it optional for users to upgrade their wikis, like a button where we can upgrade SMW and MW on our own terms whenever we feel like it? It could losen tension between hated versions and stuff. --VarickI (talk) 10:58, June 29, 2014 (EDT)
No, it's the same set of software running everything. Yaron Koren (talk) 11:07, June 29, 2014 (EDT)

## Ohai

One of my admins over at Mature SpongeBob Fan Wiki recently requested a site deletion, as we have moved over to ShoutWiki. How long should it take for the wiki to be deleted? --Octavia Melody (talk) 21:35, July 13, 2014 (EDT)

There's been weirdness on that site - admins fighting each other or some such. Could the site's original creator email me? Yaron Koren (talk) 21:59, July 13, 2014 (EDT)
I'm about to head off to bed, so I'll send you an email tomorrow. --Octavia Melody (talk) 23:38, July 13, 2014 (EDT)
• Opening or attention getter - To Octavia Melody:
• State your concern - I'm being incredibly pedantic right here, and actually find quite interesting that I did not find your name on Mature SpongeBob Fan Wiki's list of users, and your userpage says you are the founder of Jellopedia. It does not say that you are the original creator of Mature SpongeBob Fan Wiki, nor ShoutWiki. My take of the conversational implicature of this conversation says that you are attempting to email Yaron Koren as if you originally created Mature SpongeBob Fan Wiki, or ShoutWiki.
• State the problem as you see it - The Gricean Maxim of Relation indicates that your email referred to by "I'll send you an email" is offered as if it is the email requested in "Could the site's original creator email me?".
• State a solution - My nerdy opinion is that it would be in the interest of clarity if you were to explicitly say right here in which capacity you emailed, would email, or will email Yaron Koren, and to this end, to say which wikis you did and did not create and in which circumstances and capacities you created them.
• Obtain agreement (or buy-in) - How does all that sound to you?
@Everyone here: The other interesting thing is "weirdness on that site - admins fighting each other or some such". I must know the details and particulars of this alleged "weirdness". 130.105.197.193 07:54, May 5, 2017 (EDT)

## Referata

• Hello,What my wiki stop upload image?--Msnhinet8 (talk) 06:05, August 11, 2014 (EDT)
• Hi Msnhinet8, it's certainly because you have 100 MB of image files. The free configuration does not allow more space per wiki. --LIMAFOX76 (talk) 16:05, August 11, 2014 (EDT)
• 了解。--Msnhinet8 (talk) 10:11, October 12, 2014 (EDT)

## Unlimited GB storage feature?

Hello there, I was wondering if there will ever be a unlimited GB storage feature. The reason why I ask is because 100 MB sounds too small of an amount of GB for a wiki. Wikis tend to use a lot of images, so that is why I was wondering if there would be an unlimited GB storage feature for free people. I really want to see Referata go completely free one day, as for when it does trust me; people will flock and send in donations. I mean, I was part of another wiki farm; it grew to a maximum however one of their administrators kept on upgrading everything too much, along with their down times due to these updates which sort of mess up the process sometimes.--VarickI (talk) 17:08, October 2, 2014 (EDT)

## Unpopulated red links create Some very long page name error

I use a Semantic Form (through the Edit with Form tab) to populate a property of type page. When I get a red link for a page doesn't already exist (lets say for PropertyA_Entry1) I automatically create it by using "Creates pages with form". However on the page being edited with the Semantic form (Edited_Page) I get a "Some very long page name that will hopefully never get created ABCDEF123" title and a bunch of garbage text in the page. After the job runs and creates the PropertyA_Entry1 page a refresh on the Edited_Page clears the "very long page" error and removes the garbage. I can't seem to figure out what is causing this error.

I did find this thread which seems to imply a similar issue but no solution was provided: http://sourceforge.net/p/semediawiki/mailman/message/31692905/.

Is this a known issue? If so, can you suggest a work-around?

Yes, that's a known issue - there may be a workaround, depending on your exact setup, but I'd suggest asking about it (and providing a link to the form) on one of the standard Semantic Forms channels (SF talk page, mailing list, etc.) Yaron Koren (talk) 02:39, October 24, 2014 (EDT)
Thanks for the confirmation, I have created a thread here for this issue: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:Semantic_Forms#Work-around_for_un-populated_red_link_A_very_long_page_name_error.
I have a related question regarding the jobs which initiate the population of the red links. Do I need to set something so those will run on Referata? On a local version of my wiki the red links are populated very quickly unless I change \$wgJobRunRate. I'd expect it to take a bit longer to run on Referata but it doesn't seem to run at all. For a red link page whose property is set with "Creates pages with form", the page is never automatically created as it should be.Whwiki (talk) 17:43, October 26, 2014 (EDT)
I'm curious to know if any progress has been made on the Very long page error associated with Red Links? I confirmed that this issue still exists on my Referata site when using the setup I posted on the Semantic Forms talk page. I also confirmed that Red Link pages don't seem to get automatically created on my Referata site when the property is set to "Creates pages with form". Is this expected? Are the two issues related? --Whwiki (talk) 15:49, February 8, 2015 (EST)

## error

I just purged the page; I don't know if it's still showing an error, but it's at least something different. Yaron Koren (talk) 13:55, February 2, 2015 (EST)

## Mobile support plan

I'm wondering what the plan is for mobile specific formatting of Referata sites? I don't see the [| Extension:MobileFrontend] which is used by Wikipedia to accomplish this. I've seen that there are plans to integrate mobile specific formatting into Mediawiki core but it isn't clear to me when this will be ready. --Whwiki (talk) 15:49, February 8, 2015 (EST)

## Referata is going slow

Hello Yaron.

Is Referata experiencing problems?

Since the beggining of the year (maybe earlier), I'm noticing the servers are too slow and take so many time to load a page. It doesn't matter if it's a huge article or a blank page, it takes more than 30 seconds to load properly (sometimes, it keeps loading for more than 2 minutes).

I am located in Costa Rica, and I don't use to have any problem whatsoever with my Internet connection. Are the servers having technical difficulties?

Sorry about that - spammers have been hitting certain sites pretty hard (though I don't think it's been a constant problem since the beginning of the year - at least, I hope not!). I just put in a bunch of spam blocks, so hopefully things should be better now. Yaron Koren (talk) 10:13, April 6, 2015 (EDT)
Still very slow, it took 4 minutes to load this page. --Hay.democratic.network (talk) 06:52, April 28, 2015 (EDT)

Four months after, http://totalwwe.referata.com is still going dreadfully slow. It happens on that particular site, my other page, Latinopedia, is going well. --201.207.245.12 12:49, August 24, 2015 (EDT)

## Form edit

I don't know what's changed or why it's changed, but every red link now goes to a form edit page, it's a minor inconvenience but I shouldn't be going through an extra page to get to creating a page, how do I change this? Afro (talk) 13:05, May 24, 2015 (EDT)

Sorry about that - it was a new feature I was trying out in Semantic Forms. The feature still exists, but it's no longer there by default, so you won't see it again. In the future I might make it a site setting, but that's another story. Yaron Koren (talk) 18:52, May 24, 2015 (EDT)
Ok, thanks for the speedy reply. 94.1.30.168 09:42, May 25, 2015 (EDT)

## Changed my site name

I changed my site name from afrosite.referata.com to zgradetennis.referata.com and I'm wondering about the timeframe for the images to switch to the new domain, I'm not trying to rush but just getting an idea on the timeframe, thanks. Afro (talk) 09:33, November 26, 2015 (EST)

## Deletion request

I requested a couple of months ago that my wiki be deleted (here), and it hasn't been done yet, I was wondering how long the process usually takes? Afro (talk) 07:21, April 8, 2016 (EDT)

## Active

Is this wiki farm still active? I'd like to know before saving up to purchase a plan.--Kaiser (talk) 13:06, July 6, 2016 (EDT)

Yes. Yaron Koren (talk) 17:12, July 6, 2016 (EDT)

## May need to add cloudflare

Hey Yaron,

It appears that Referata was down for two days. I highly recommend you use Cloudflare and set its emergency tools to moderate. May you do the same with wikis as well?--Kaiser (talk) 20:15, July 23, 2016 (EDT)

By the way, Referata runs really slow when loading since it was down.--Kaiser (talk) 18:52, August 4, 2016 (EDT)
Sorry for not responding before. No, Referata wasn't down - it was quite slow at times during that time, though. And I'm aware that it's still slow now. Yaron Koren (talk) 21:53, August 4, 2016 (EDT)
Any evidence of a DOS attack (to coincide with this person offering money and suggesting you deanonymize/inconvenience Tor users with CloudFlare (coincidentally right after lumeniki started being active again.))? 185.38.14.171 05:26, October 18, 2016 (EDT)
The organization responsible for more dragnet surveillance than anyone else is not the NSA, it is CloudFlare.
"(the site owner) can not disable that captcha for TOR users! Their is no option for that. Even if you set the firewall protection to what they call "essentially off" it still demands captchas from TOR users."
Other commenters report that Akamai doesn't block Tor.
Sophisticated bots might get around CloudFlare the same way this site does: http://www.crimeflare.com/cfs.html
Non-Tor proxies usually do not get CAPTCHAS from CloudFlare. Many proxies can be found with a websearch for "proxy".
(Kindly re-post this message anywhere CloudFlare is mentioned.) 185.38.14.171 05:22, October 18, 2016 (EDT)

## afrosite and afrosite2

Hey, I think it's been more than year now since I asked for afrosite.referata.com to be deleted and selected the option through preferences, I'm just wondering how long this might take? Afro (talk) 20:03, January 29, 2017 (EST)

## Cannot visit any of my wikis

Sorry but I found that only this wiki is now in place to see. I get a 403 forbidden error when I try to visit one of my wikis. Is there something that prevented a wiki from being browsed? Thank you!!! Giorgos456 (talk) 17:22, October 25, 2017 (UTC)

I mean, no site other than this one can be visited for now, including the ones I made now. Giorgos456 (talk) 17:30, October 25, 2017 (UTC)

## Referata extremely slow

Why is Referata always slow, especially the wikis powered by it?--Kaiser (talk) 17:40, December 7, 2017 (UTC)

## Spam

Hello there, Yaron Koren. I just go to Special:AllPages and find out many spam pages existed here:

The following list is about pages with meanless contents or title, may need to be deleted as well?

Could you delete them? Thank you in advance! ☎ Laundry Machine 13:48, January 13, 2018 (UTC)

Already taken care of—this past hour and a half. (Along with a few extras you didn't catch yet.)
To be fair, I'm like the only one still dealing with this cleanup here. --Routhwick (talk) 23:18, February 1, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for handling it! ☎ Laundry Machine03:36, February 2, 2018 (UTC)
